Sometimes You Are The Change You Seek

To provide housing and supportive job training services to immigrants and disadvantaged families experiencing homelessness in our community so they will have a safe and secure environment as they work towards self-sufficiency and citizenship.

Our Mission

“Homelessness is not a choice, but rather a journey that many find themselves in.”

— Asa Don Brown

We want to redefine habitation and what affordable, low-income housing should look like. Currently we want to build a world where communities are humane, healthy, and barrier free. In the very near future, we hope to cultivate a development of additional communities of affordable housing across our county and state as well as renovating existing housing to increase our reach more affordably and timely. We operate on core values in our community, and they are to be inclusive, be respectful to all, provide housing/food justice, and be merciful to our community.

It truly does take a village.

The Goal of Bluewater Pathways Collective

The goal for families in our shelter and transitional housing programs is to secure livable wage employment and a permanent home. BPC provides dedicated case management and support services from professional advocates as keys to this success.

“To save a life is a real and beautiful thing. To make a home for the homeless, yes, it is a thing that must be good; whatever the world may say, it cannot be wrong.”

— Vincent Van Gogh

Quick Facts

  • Founded in 2023, BPC is professionally staffed, and volunteer supported.

  • We are nonprofit organization, who owns and operates 4 transitional homes and the future 1 community center in the Shelton area.

  • Our organization also partners up with Denotta Seafood to train participants in highly sought after trades and food industry training program which will help provide gainful employment training opportunities for low-income adults.

  • We have given more than 15 families a chance to move from homelessness to a self-sufficient and productive life. In addition, we have trained and provided job training to ten individuals and we are just in the second month of the year. It is our mission to offer more opportunities with outside funding as these momentous feat have been accomplished through the kind donations of the Denotta family.

  • Community support as well as government support is critical to our success. We are confident with outside assistance we can more than triple the people we have assisted. We are excited to go after renovation and expansion funding to offer more mobile temporary housing for our serving population. We are open to be a resource for other organizations that need placement. We are aggressively seeking corporate, government, and community support and are very excited about all the opportunities we have to offer.

“Show each person the courtesy to let them choose their way of life and their beliefs, then respect it, provided they do no harm to others, be it mankind, the animals or our Mother Earth.”

— E.C. Montana
